Terms and Conditions


Tour Prices


The price of each tour includes all travel expenses as noted in the itinerary such as transportation within China or oversea, all accommodations and all meals unless otherwise stated, tour materials, entrance fees, drivers wages, guiding service and other services that may be involved in.


The following items are not included in the tour price: passports, visa fees, departure taxes, immunizations, excess baggage charges, optional excursions, tips, telephone bills, alcoholic beverages, laundry, room service, snacks, or anything of a personal nature. If you have any questions, please

Reservations


To make a reservation, please complete and return the booking form to us together with the deposit. China Wild Tour will then send you a confirmation letter of your reservation and a receipt. It is for your own interest to book early to avoid disappointment, as birding and wildlife tours are highly seasonal and we accept reservations on a first-come, first-served basis. However, when the places are available, reservations are also welcome to the last minute. Please contact us for the availability. China Wild Tour reserves the right to decline any reservation at its discretion. 


Payments and Deposits


Unless otherwise stated, for trips of which the price is up to $1000 or less, or of which the commencement is within 60 days, full payment is required for the confirmation of your reservation. For Trips of which the price is over $1000 or the commencement is 60 days after, a deposit of 50-75% of the full payment is required for the confirmation of your reservation, and your reservation will not be confirmed (and payment is not deemed made )until the deposit is received by China Wild Tour. You will receive a confirmation receipt for your payment. Your reservation will be automatically cancelled if the deposit is not received by China Wild Tour by the deposit due date.

 

The balance for the full payment of your reservation is due 60 days prior to the commencement of your trip, unless otherwise stated. If the final payment is not received by this due date, your reservation will be deemed to have been cancelled, and your full deposit including Travel Protection payments and any deposit for flights or Instant Purchase Air purchases, will be retained by China Wild Tour. China Wild Tour is not responsible for any cancellation of your transport reservations in such cases as when the full payment is not received by this final payment due date or your reservation is cancelled. 

 

Deposit due date: 4 months prior to the commencement of trip;

Final payment due date: 2 months prior to the commencement of trip.


Payment is preferably made by bank transfer to China Wild Tour Co., Limited. We accept payment in Sterling Pound, Euro, US Dollar, HK$, and RMB. Other currencies are acceptable with extra exchange charges. We accept cash for 1-2 days short trips if the place is available, and in such case the payment can be made in cash to the tour guide by the commencement of the trip.


Cancellations and Refunds


Notice of cancellation can be made to us by emails. The cancellation of your reservation will take effect when your cancellation email is received by China Wild Tour. Penalties of cancelation will apply as follows:

Prior to the time of departure:  Cancellation Charge:
Over 90 days  30% of trip price
90 - 60 days 50% of trip price
60 - 30 days 75% of trip price
29 - 1 day   100% of trip price 
Day of departure or later 100% of trip price

In the case when China Wild Tour has to cancel any trip that you have reserved, whether because of insufficient reservations, staff illness, or events beyond our control, etc., all deposits and other payments will be refunded within some few poundage, or another trip at the similar budget level to the one you have reserved can be offered when available. 


Insurance


At the China Wild Tour we believe that your safety and holiday enjoyment are very important, and therefore travel insurance is a must whenever you travel abroad. We strongly advise you buy travel insurance in your country before commencement of a tour. The insurance should cover accident, evacuation, medical, repatriation, loss of personal belongings and loss of effects and so on.


It should be noted that as the majority part of our tours take place in underdeveloped regions, the liability of the hired vehicles for passengers can be very limited. Therefore China Wild Tour strongly recommends you to ensure that your travel insurance provides sufficient coverage on medical expenses and personal belongings. 


Passports and Visas


All participants are responsible for, and must be in possession of, a passport valid for six months after the conclusion of the tour. In addition they must obtain any necessary visas and vaccination certificates required for the tour.

 

Entering China as a tourist requires a visa which can be applied for at the Chinese embassy in your country or the travel agencies offering China tours. The application usually takes one week.

 

Foreign travelers to Tibetan Autonomous Region, i.e. Tibet and some parts of Sichuan, Qinghai and Yunnan need special entry permission which may be obtained at major hotels or travel agencies in Chengdu, Sichuan. This permission usually is tied to an air (train) ticket to Lhasa. Please be noted at times there may be temporary control of foreign travelers to some regions, in which case we will notify you in the confirmation e-mail if it apply to your reservation. 


Health Requirements


China Wild Tour strongly advises you to take full consideration of your health condition before making a reservation, by consulting with your local or personal physicians to advice on your ability to undertake a birding or wildlife tour. Participants of our tour are required to be capable of hiking at gentle speed for at least half a day and enduring vehicle transport for long distance, and to abide by the itinerary of the tour. China Wild Tour reserves the right to cancel the tour according to the state of your health, and you are liable for all the extra costs occurring on China Wild Tour to handle such situations.

It cannot be emphasized enough that, for your own wellbeing, you should make China Wild Tour aware of any medical condition or physical limitation which may affect your ability and comfort during the trip, preferably at the time of your reservation or no later than the departure, so that China Wild Tour can be prepared to offer help in case of any related emergency. China Wild Tour will always arrange the tour guide to carry first aid kit for minus wounds and injuries.

 

Vaccinations are obligatory or suggested for travelers to some parts of China or oversea. Please check the relevant information and make sure to be vaccinated prior to your departure. Please be noted some vaccination process make take a rather long period of time to be completed.

 


Sharing Rooms


All the quotations are based on shared twin rooms for accommodation.

 

If you need single room, please specify in your reservation letter and we will inform you of the particular price. However, please be aware that while we will do our best to secure sufficient single rooms, it may not always be possible due to availability. In such cases guests will have to share rooms, and refunds will be made according to the single room supplement in proportion to the number of the nights of sharing.


If you are travelling alone, and would like to share rooms, we will pair you up with another guest who also wishes to share, and this will be arranged on first-come first-served basis. However, if this is not possible, we will have to charge you the single room supplement.


Restrictions and other important details


To visit some places in the itinerary and to maximize the opportunity to spot certain species, early morning starts and late returns may be required on some days during the tour. As reckoned by regular wildlife watchers, dawn and dusk may be the most productive times of a day. During the hiking, we will rest as necessary. At times, walking uphill or over difficult terrain is required, of which the information is specified in the General Information notes in details.

 

China Wild Tour suggests all the group members to remain considerate to each other during the tour. Any antisocial behavior such as swearing, smoking, excessive drinking, and etc. that is unwelcomed by the other group members and could be detrimental to the enjoyment of a tour, will be deemed as unacceptable. On the occasion when any group member who continues his/her inappropriate behavior after the initial complaints from other group members, China Wild Tour reserves the right to suspend the tour service provision to him/her and expel him from the tour group. The guest who has been dismissed will not be refunded, and China Wild Tour will not be responsible for any of his/her expenses after.

 

It is possible for the guest to opt out of some particular excursions for their own purposes at their own expenses. However this must be with the agreement of the tour guide and China Wild Tour and the guest will be fully responsible for himself/herself during the time when he is not following the tour itinerary, including for the cost of any transportation, accommodation, meals and etc., and China Wild Tour will not bear any responsibility for him/her.


Tour Alterations


China Wild Tour reserves the right to make alterations to the itineraries, accommodations, airlines or vessels due to conditions beyond our control such as local weather conditions, traffic conditions, political situations and so on. In such cases, China Wild Tour will do everything possible to make your tour as safe and productive as possible.


Group Size


Small group size is recommended to maximize the enjoyment of a birding and wildlife trip, which allows better observation opportunities for all group members to enjoy watching the bird and wildlife. However, we are also happy to arrange tour in big group size according to clients’ preference and the availability.


Cost Increase


All prices are calculated well in advance, and unexpected cost increases can sometimes occurs. China Wild Tour reserves the right to increase tour prices in the event of increase in government and airport authority imposed taxes and fees, fuel surcharges, over-flying charges, airport and transport surcharges, or any other cost increases. During busy seasons, the price may have to be increased by up to 30% of the listed price excluding insurance premiums and the amendment charges. However, unless the cost increase of a tour is above 5% of the original cost, China Wild Tour will remain the original listed price in your favor. Any change in the tour price will be shown on your final receipt 30 days prior to the commencement of the tour.


Responsibility


China Wild Tour reserves the right to accept or reject any person as guest or tour group member; to expel any guest from a group tour; to make changes in itineraries whenever and wherever it is necessary judged by the tour guide in consideration of the safety, comfort, or convenience of the tour group; and to cancel a tour at any time.

 

By purchasing services from China Wild Tour, you, the customer, agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, and agree that China Wild Tour is not responsible for any and all claims for injuries, illness, deaths, losses, damages, delays, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment which does not result from the fault or negligence or omissions on our part or on the part of our suppliers, but are caused by the fault or negligence or omissions of your own or of a third party, or by events beyond the control of China Wild Tour or our suppliers. China Wild Tour accepts liability as a direct result of fault, negligence, omissions or breach of contractual duty in making arrangements for you, including those of our agents.

 

China Wild Tour is not responsible for any fault, negligence or omission by airlines and other public transportation service providers. The passenger contract used by the airlines, trains or buses, when issued, constitutes the sole contract between you and one of them. Anyone not utilizing the transportation arranged in our itinerary is responsible for the cost of any substitute transportation.

 

Because of unforeseen changes in the transportation schedule, the land portion of the tour may be occasionally extended or curtailed. China Wild Tour reserves the right to accept or to retain anyone as a member on the trip, or to cancel the trip. After refunding all partial or full payments, China Wild Tour has no responsibility to passengers on cancelled trips. Used portions of the itinerary are not refundable. 


Complaints


If something unpleasant happened that you have cause to complain, you should notify at least one of your leader as soon as possible in order that we may assist you. If you are still not satisfied thereafter, or your complaint cannot be resolved locally, please contact China Wild Tour. Please note that we are not responsible for the individual behavior of any group member or other guest at your accommodation or during the tour, although we will do our best to help you from being disturbed by any inappropriate behaviors from others.


Contracts


When you sign the booking form you are entering into a contract made with China Wild Tour Co., Ltd trading as China Wild Tour Co., Ltd, Fujian Province, People's Republic of China. This means that you agree to accept all these Terms and Conditions. Our confirmation of your booking means that we agree to operate the service (tour) you have chosen as stated on our website, http://www.chinawildtour.com. The contract is governed by Chinese law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Chinese courts.
