Hainan Island is the most southerly part of China. With the assarting more than 60 years, there's only few good tropical rainforests are still in the central and the western Hainan Island. Jianfengling Forest Park is the only easy accessable high altitude rain forest for someone, who is interested in to discover the Hainan endemic and other rare birds, such as Hainan Peacock Pheasant, Hainan Partridge, Ratchet-tailed Treepie, Yellow-billed Nuthatch, Rufous-cheeked Laughingthrush etc.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Sanya  –  Jianfengling Forest Park 

On your arrival in Sanya, you will be met at the airport by your local driver and our guide, and then 2 hours driving to Jianfengling Forest Park and overnight. If time permit, we'll do some birding in Jianfengling Forest.

Overnight in the hotel inside the JIanfengling Forest Park.

Day 2 – 4 Jianfengling Forest Park 

We’ll spend four days in Jianfengling Forest Park to search all endemic birds of species of Hainan Island, such as Hainan Partridge and Hainan Peacock Pheasant, Hainan Leaf Warbler and Hainan Laughthrush, Chinese Barbet etc.

Other highlights include Silver-breasted Broadbill, White-winged Magpie, Ratchet-tailed Treepie, Short-tailed Magpie, Yellow-billed Nuthatch,Rufous-cheeked Laughingthrush, Mountain Scops Owl, Short-tailed Magpie, Eyebrowed Wren Babbler, Sultan Tit, Large Scimitar Babbler, Indochinese Green Magpie, Pale Blue Flycatcher, Blyth's Shrike Babbler, Red-headed Trogon etc.

We may need some luck to  find Oriental Bay Owl, Japanese Robin and Blue-rumped Pitta in this rainyforest as well.

Overnight in Jianfeng Forest Park.

Day 5 Jianfengling Forest Park  – Sanya

The last morning birding in Jianfengling Forest Park, and then you will be transferred to the Sanya airport in time to catch your return flight home.
