Day 1 Chengdu – Longchanggou Forest Park

Arrive Chengdu, and then go to in Sichuan University to find Ashy-throated Parrotbill, Chinese Grosbeak. Late afternoon 3 hours drive to Longcanggou Forest Park and overnight.

Day 2 – 4 Longchanggou Forest Park

We’ll spend three days in Longcanggou Forest Park to search parrotbills, Gold-fronted Fulvetta, Slaty Bunting, Barred Laughingthrush, Temminck's Tragopan and etc.

Day 5 Longchanggou Forest Park – Chengdu

Morning birding in Longcanggou Forest Park. Late afternoon drive back to Chengdu and overnight.

Day 6 Chengdu – Wolong NNR

Morning 2.5 hours driving to Wolong NR. And after lunch we will search Indian Blue Robin, Brown Bush-Warbler, Slaty Bunting, Chinese Leaf Wabler in the lowland. Overnight in Wolong NNR.

Day 7-8 Wolong NNR – Balanshan

We’ll leave hotel very early to drive to the summit and spend the whole day in Balangshan to find Chinese Monal, Tibetan Snowcock, White Eared-Pheasant, Snow Partridge, Wood Snipe, Chestnut-throated Monal Partridge, Grandala, Red-fronted Rosefinch, Temminck's Tragopan, Three-toed Woodpecker, Firethroat and Chinese Thrush etc.

Day 9 Wolong NNR – Balanshan – Mengbishan –  Maerkang

We’ll leave early to birding to the summit, before we cross the Balangshan Pass to Mengbishan. Afternoon arrive Mengbishan to search White Eared-Pheasant, Chinese Hazel Grouse, Sichuan Jay and Black Woodpecker. Overnight in Maerkang.

Day 10  Maerkang – Mengbishan – Hongyuan

Morning return back to Mengbishan to search we missing in the previous day. Afternoon drive to Hongyuan and find Ibisbill on the way to Hongyuan. Overnight in Hongyuan.

Day 11 Hongyuan – Rouergai – Chuanzhusi

Morning drive to Ruoergai and birding on the way to Chuanzhusi. We will stop on the way of Baxi Forest to search Snowy-cheeked Laughingthrush, Sichuan Tit etc. Overnight in Chuanzhusi.

Day 12 Chuanzhusi – Gonggangling – Jiuzhaigou

Early morning birding in Gonggangling to search Blue Eared Pheasant, White-cheeked Nuthatch, Przevalski's Nuthatch, White-browed Tit-Warbler, Fire-capped Tit, Snowy-cheeked Laughingthrush, Tibetan Serin etc. Afternoon drive to to Jiuzhaigou, where is the most famous landscape in the world. Also have many good birds inside, such as Rufous-headed Robin, Sichuan Wood Owi, Spectacled Fulvetta, Chinese Nuthatch, Rusty-breasted Tit etc. Overnight outside the Jiuzhaigou.

Day 13 Jiuzhaigou

Full day birding in Jiuzhaigou to search Rufous-headed Robin, Sichuan Wood Owi, Spectacled Fulvetta, Chinese Nuthatch, Rusty-breasted Tit etc. and sightseeing.

Day 14 Jiuzhaigou – Gonggangling – Chengdu

Morning leave from Jiuzhaigou, we’ll spend half day birding in Gonggangling before we return back to Chengdu.

Night in Chengdu.

Day 1 Chengdu – Laojunshan NNR

Morning 4 hours drive to Laojunshan NNR from Chengdu. Afternoon birding around research station. We’ll spend three days to search Omei Shan Liocichla, Russet Bush-Warbler, Red-winged Laughingthrush, Streaked Barwing and Sichuan Partridge.

Day 2-3 Laojunshan NNR 

Full day birding in Laojunshan NNR.

Day 4 Laojunshan NNR – Chengdu

Morning birding in Laojunshan NNR, afternoon back to Chengdu.

Day 1 Chengdu – Tangjiahe NNR

Five hours drive to Tangjiahe NNR to NR, afternoon birding in the lowland area search Temminck's Tragopan, Golden Pheasant, wablers, Slaty Bunting, Tawny Fish Owl etc. Overnight in Tangjiahe NNR.

Day 2-3 Tangjiahe NNR

We’ll spend 2 days in the bamboo forest to search Rusty-throated Parrotbill and Chinese Monal near the summit after we spend 4 hours hiking up. Camping in the chalet near the summit.

Day 4 Tangjiahe NNR – Chengdu

Morning birding around the summit, then walk down and way back to Chengdu.
