Xinjiang Ground Jay

Xinjiang Ground Jay occurs in the Taklimakan Desert, western China, where it is known from Xinjiang, with a few records well to the east of this area. IIt has recently been found to be widespread and locally common in the interior of the Taklimakan Desert.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Korla – Yuli

On your arrival in Korla, you will be met at the airport by your local driver and our guide, and then 1 hour driving to your hotel in Yuli. If time permit, we'll drive to Taklamakan Desert to find Xinjiang Ground Jay and other desert birds.

Overnight in Yuli.

Day 2 Yuli

Full day birding in Taklamakan Desert to search Xinjiang Ground-Jay, Saxaul Sparrow, White-winged Woodpecker, Tarim Babbler, Azure Tit and other desert birds.
Overnight in Yuli.

Day 3 Yuli  – Korla

The last morning birding around Yuli. And then you will be transferred to the Korla airport in time to catch your return flight home.
